SOLD, thank you for all the interest.

This is an absolutely beautiful P bass by Ben, his work throughout, with alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, abalone marker dots, Hipshot tuners, bridge, and Ben's own hand wound pickup. Ben built this for me a year or so ago and it has been played very little, as I unfortunately suffered a stroke which retired me from playing, and my day job. 1.75" at the nut. Ben's unbelievably gorgeous hand rubbed nitro finish. With brand new Mooradian gig bag, padded black leather strap, matching blue cable by TB'er ExaltBass, see post below. Asking $1000.00 shipped CONUS only, Paypal preferred. Will consider reasonable offers. Ben has a couple similar basses listed on ebay now for $1695.00.

Absolutely beautiful. I'm trying to envision it with a tort guard - always liked LPB with tort. I dig the spoke wheel truss rod adjustment - a very classy and functional touch.

Gorgeous bass! Sorry to hear about the stroke. To be unable to continue playing must very difficult. All the best and GLWTS.

Thanks for the comments TB'ers, I used to love tort pick guards too. The aged pearl really appealed to me after seeing it though.

....forgot to mention the bass is strung with Sadowsky flats, 45-105....bridge is chromed brass, not aluminum, and weight is slightly less than 9 pounds. The Mooradian bag is worth $160.00, and a new black padded leather 3" Levy strap is included worth $35.00, as well as one custom made blue cable, by TB'er Exaltbass, worth $40.00.

Ben has been around quite a while now, do a search on TB and you'll see a bunch of his instruments. A lot of builders use him for finishing too.

This is such a great deal! As a Lindsey Bass owner (see avatar pic - my Lindsey 'Stang), and long time customer, I've had the pleasure of getting to know Ben and experience his craftsmanship. I'd love to pick this up, but my stable is full (says my wife).

BTW, Jeff (Joinercape) is a Fender certified tech too, so you know this baby is set up perfectly. I'm a two time Joiner bass owner too, I've played many of his instruments, and he helped me setup my '59 P-Bass.

Oh, the GAS!! But the 1.75" nut is not for me. Calling Chef, come in Chef...

Somebody is gonna love this beauty. Please hurry up and sell this so I can stop staring. It's embarrassing. ;)

GLWTS and best wishes to you, joinercape.

Thank you for your comments. I know how many hours Ben has in this instrument (all his instruments get the same treatment), someone is going to get a great bargain as well as an incredible instrument.

Forgot to show the back...and mention that the neck is quarter sawn maple with mild flame, which looks awesome under the vintage tinted nitro.

Bump for a very beautiful bass. If I had any reason to buy this, I would not hesitate for a second. But I don't need it as my main player is a 59 P, but this is the first bass in a long time to have me thinking. Best of luck with the sale, and take care of yourself!

Thank you! I'll bet your '59 P is awesome. That was the best era IMHO.
