I would like to sell or trade my 1999 Elrick NJ5 Bass with a nice exhibition quilt maple top over swamp ash body, beautiful Birdseye maple fretboard, with Bartolini Preamp (9v) and Pups. The bass has recently had a fret level and polish, and it is set up low and plays wonderfully. The tone on this bass is punchy on the bridge pup, full and round on the neck, and the best of both in the middle of the blend knob. It has a surprisingly excellent slap sound. The body has one small (small fingernail) indentation near the center of upper side of the body edge. It is hard to see from 1 to 2 feet away, and I don't even notice it. This is a player's bass and it has wear areas...like the up-pluck area when you slap has some wear on it. The control config is Vol, Blend, Treble, Mid, Bass with a switch for 3 mid-range settings and and active/passive switch. It is a 35" scale with 24 frets, and the bass weighs in at 7.5 lbs on my digital scale. Bass comes in a SKB TSA hard case, packed bullet-proof. I would like see $1800 firm for the bass shipped to your door somewhere in Cont USA. The trade value is $2300. I would entertain Jazz 5 style basses W/34" scale like Sadowsky UV's. Also send trade offers that are of value or close to the grade of bass this one is please. I would do a nice Musicman HH 5 + $$ on your end, Mayones Jabba 5's, Xotic's, Lull's, Valenti's, etc however I do not have funds to add money to any trade deals. Hit me up. The worst I can say is no! SOUND LINK Here is a sound link from the previous owner's site. The first part is both pups fingerstyle, second is the slap sound on both pups and the third is the bridge fingerstyle. http://www.deanschmidtbass.com/Elrick%20Bounce%2002.mp3 You can barely make out the ding in this pic. Can you find it?
