This is a transition model, it has the upgraded bridge and tuners of the 2008+ model years, but does not have the satin on the back of the neck. The pickguard is aftermarket (I don't have the original). Schaller strap buttons installed, will include Fender-style strap buttons if wanted. (Schaller locks not included.) Also includes the OHSC (pre-TSA style) which is in great condition.

This is a great playing and sounding bass. The weight is eight pounds even on the bathroom scale. A couple very small dings on the body - couldn't get them to photograph. Low, smooth action and great feel - you really won't be disappointed.

Looking for [del]$950 $900[/del] $850 shipped and Paypal'd in the CONUS. Questions? Ask!

Only trade I would be interested in would be for a Rickenbacker 4003 + cash on my end.

The Broncos dropped a real stink-a-doo-doo at MetLife Stadium last night. Don't do the same by missing out on this bass!

I might wind up keeping this one, spent some time with it last night and it feels so good.

An offer to buy for $900 might could sway me, though...

Now $850 shipped/Paypal'd. Won't go any lower than this! Whichever sells first - this or the Geddy I also have listed - I'll be keeping the other. I can't decide which to sell because they're both great, but I can't justify keeping both, so I'll let fate decide for me.

Charles, this should actually be a full blown Am Standard ... if you look at the back of the headstock, and more to the heel of the neck, this is the satin finish, it has just been 'polished' to high gloss in the playing area ... checking files it was made Feb of '08 (Happy Birthday to it!!), so with no S-1 and that bridge, machines, neck finish, this is full blown '08 upgraded 'New' American Standard ... the only thing that would be different would be the case switch, as you mention you have the pre-TSA SKB which this bass would have came stock with ...

.. just a friendly heads up, but at 8 lbs, this beauty should have been gone a while ago ... ;)

    Thanks for the heads-up!

Note that the original case has been sold along with my Geddy Lee locally, so this one will be going out in a nice padded gig bag if it sells.

Back on the market. Need to sell to fund another purchase! The nut width is 1.625". Recently restrung with a fresh set of LaBella flats, and plays like a wet dream.
