For sale, a 1951 reissue Precision Bass (pics below). Crafted in Japan, serial number dates it to 1993/94. The original owner shielded the body cavities, pickup, and pickguard with copper foil from StewMac. He also changed the pots, cap, and knobs with replacements from RS Guitarworks. It is in near-mint condition, with only a few minor dings (1/4 match head) on the back that are only noticeable upon close inspection. Includes Hipshot Xtender and an SKB hardshell case, which is in good shape and has working latches.

I have owned this bass for two years. I never gigged with it and it has remained in a constant temperature, smoke-free, air conditioned house. It looks, plays, sounds fantastic! I just play more guitar these days and when playing bass I prefer to play my oversized Les Paul bass. So, please, no trades. I’m making this available for someone who’ll play it a lot rather than keep it in the case.

    $550 shipped CONUS, Paypal.

That's a real good price. You got the original E tuner, too?
