Up for sale is a rare Masterbuilt Fender P bass. Lightly relic'd. Built by Dale Wilson, it's a stunning example of a Fender P. Sonic blue with gold anodized pick guard. Gorgeous Rosewood fretboard.
Plays like butter, beautiful light weight (just over 8lbs), nice straight grain quarter sawn neck, and best of all has the Abby Ybarra hand wound pickups! (Those are going to become nearly impossible to obtain before long)
Sounds like the best P bass you've ever heard. Definitely one of the best basses I've owned, including vintage Fenders!
Only reason for selling is that I play upright almost exclusively these days and this is too much bass to just have sitting around in the case.
Paid over $5000 for this baby.
    Looking to get $2750 shipped. ImageUploadedByTalkBass1390165053.365342.jpg ImageUploadedByTalkBass1390165070.130208.jpg ImageUploadedByTalkBass1390165088.713413.jpg

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I'm looking for any trades. The last thing I need right now is another electric bass. Thanks in advance. : )

Here is serial and COA. For whatever reason the model was incorrectly labeled as NOS from the factory. This bass received what I believe they refer a light relic. Some dents, dulled/worn finish and hardware. Very nicely work neck feel. So smooth..

Is the paint completely relic'd off of the top edge of the body on the E string side (as if you drew a straight line between the bridge and the upper/top side edge of the body)?

    Thanks.

    Best,
    Rob

Please see my question a couple of posts above about the finish being relic'd off the upper body edge. Also, do you have the original pick up and bridge covers? Tug bar? Thanks.

    best,
    Rob

The section on the upper bout where your forearm sits is worn to the wood. Sort of an oval shaped wear mark on the beveled edge.
Also comes with all covers and tug bar.
