**************SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD***********

Up for sale is my built in 2006 (bought from store Guitar Resurrection in Austin, TX in summer of 2008) Ken Smith BSR6MW

This bass has been taken care of and serviced regularly. It was my main gigging bass for about 3 years, mainly church gigs and an occasional club/festival gig, with that said, there a few dings and dents/light scratches but all normal with an 8 year old bass.
There is a darkened spot on the top-side and I was told it was from the sweat/oil from resting my forearm on it over the years, i say its got character lol! Last imperfection, I have NO idea how this happened but there is very small chip right above the bridge where the B strings is located, you can see it the pics...

Looking to get $2800obo or trade ($3200) it for another Ken Smith 5 String (CR body style preferred or an MTD 5...

I bought this bass as a youngster because my bass-idols at the time played 6 string Ken Smith's and I hadnt really developed my own feel and sound, fast forward some years later, I know what I want in a bass and I have my own sound, I rarely play the high C on any gig and even though I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for a 6 string, I prefer the feel of a 5 string. I've also been playing fender J basses exclusively for the past 2-3 years, my ken dont get played a whole lot any more.

    34" Scale
18V 3-band EQ with pull up for passive
Tiger Maple Core with Walnut Top and Back matching headstock
OHSC with papers strap, polish, and tools.

Plays phenomenal with butter action!! Sounds just like a Ken Smith sounds and should sound.
This is what it sounds like through a Markbass Rig, I pretty much run everything flat on the bass and amp.

    More Pics coming...

more pics! this is the small chip above the bridge to the left of the B string, excuse the paper under the B string, I have a set of SR2000's and the B string rattles against the saddle because it is too tapered, This is why Ken prefers his own custom tapered core strings on his basses....the pic on the right is the spot mentioned in the ad.

Free Smith bump. I had a twin cousin BSR5MW (also maple core/walnut top & back) as my main bass for about 10 years, absolutely great basses!
