FS/FT: 1976 Jazz Bass, Ibanez, "Lawsuit", OHSC

    Had this up for trade and pulled it. Just sounds great but... Clement 296 does everything for me I need a jazz bass to do. And I really want a P bass.

    I know technically Fender didn't sue Ibanez but this is commonly called a Lawsuit bass.For sale or trade 1976 Jazz bass made by Ibanez. This is hands down the best sounding jazz bass I have ever played and I've played a lot! Does everything a great jazz bass should do just made in Japan. Bass is stock and come shipped in the original case. Only missing the pickup covers but does have the screws for the bridge cover. Mahogany body with teak top, three piece maple neck. Bridge and tuners work great, Truss rod works as it should.

    The body has a few bumps and dings but nothing awful. Frets are in fair shape and bass plays with low med/low action. The neck is in excellent shape with one exception, there is a surface split just after the nut below the e string. It is stable and doesn't go far but is there. Neck is very stable, has wide low frets and feels great to play. Currently set up with medium low action with no fret buzz. Oh and weighs just a bit over 8 lbs.

    $400 shipped CONUS (OBO) or...

    Looking for a precision bass. Or parts to get me to a precision bass. Precision or P/J by any manufacturer is fine as long as it is of similar quality to this bass. Also need it to weigh less than 9.5 lbs. 8.5 is Ideal.

    I've been playing it without the pickguard or truss rod cover, looks pretty cool to me.
