I have a pair of Aria SB-1000 basses from the infamous Matsumoku factory. One has the coveted Bat-Wing headstock, and one has the more familiar headstock. Both are Great players, Both are All original, and both have "THAT" sound!
1st up the 1981 in Padouk Red.

    Nice ebony boards!

The Traditional Aria Pro II Headstock!

Serial number would make this a 1981.

    Neck Through construction...

    The Magic Box!

    And just enough Mojo!

Next up is the 1980 BatWing in Walnut finish.

    XLNT Ebony Boards!

    The Mighty Bat-Wing Headstock!

Serial number makes this a 1980 model. Last year of the Wing!

This bass has about 4 nicks on the bottom/treble side of the body. Super Clean otherwise!

Both basses are 34" scale, 1.75 at the nut and weigh in at 10 Lbs. Basses will ship in a Road Runner Gig bag or a soft case, your choice.

Big Red is Sold for $800 shipped, and the Walnut Bat is a cool $1000.

And there are Trades I am interested in! (Add $100 each for Trade Value)

Fender American Precision (Standard or Deluxe) V
    Warwick 5er's other than Corvette's
    Valenti/Sadowsky 5er's
Alembic 5-strings! Epics, Excels, Elan, Essence, Europa, Etc...
    Other boutiques with 5 strings

A 2 for 1 deal is very possible, and a lined fretless is not out of the question. Please PM your offers & insults, and thanks for stopping by!

You know i have an SB700 in maple ('82). I'll keep this is mind. I'm strongly looking to upgrade it.

What made you decide to get rid of some of the SB's?

Just not playing 4's anymore, and I have >20 4-string basses. I'll probably be offering a few more in the months to come.

You have to take at least one picture of the Aria family you have first! I think, and i may be mistaken, but i think you have the most extensive collection of Aria basses on the forums; therefore, probably one of the most extensive collections there is.

Also, i asked about the batwing v book style headstocks in the Aria thread in basses, but maybe you can speak on it a little here?

Bump for a fellow Aria aficionado! I hope you don't sell ALL of your Arias!

BTW, did you ever get around to Alembic-izing the Aria Integra 5er?

To reply to a couple of inquiries about the Selector knob. It has 6 Preset tone settings that range from an EB-0 Tone (Dark & Muddy) to Brighter and Snappier than an Oneders One Hit Wonder. The 4 in between are the ones I lean towards. Very Active, Modern tones along the lines Alembic, Rickenbacker, and Modulus. If you play a Four String, you can't go wrong playing an Aria SB-1000.

Big Red is $old for Asking Price and on it's way to the Yukon!

Or is that U - Conn?

The Maple Bat will most likely stay in my Select Collection of 4-Bangers.

PM's answered, Shipping to Canada is possible.

And Mark, if that BoomSlang Proto-Type is up for Trade would this be of any interest?
