I have a great sounding Warwick Thumb 5 string Bolt-on with truss rod tool and Warwick Gig Bag (very rough condition bag). The electronics were replaced with Bartolini pickups and active preamp. Recent Ernie Ball strings and not much more to say. I love the sound of this bass, in fact, I loved it so much, I bought a NT Thumb 5 and don't "need" both. Open to equitable trades, but love cash. [DEL]$1250 [/DEL][DEL]plus shipping [/DEL]CONUS or best offer.:bassist:$1125:bassist: plus shipping

To answer the question about the truss rod cover, the bolt-on was written over with sharpie by a previous owner to make it look like an NT.

If I can sell my bass i'll be all over this! Killer deal. Are you the original owner? Are you the one that changed the pickups out? If so how do they sound in comparison to the MEC pickups. Thanks, Mike

Any chance you have any audio with the Barts? I love Bartolini, but MEC has a sound all its own. Nice bass!

I am amazed at the different sounds different woods have and to my ears the pickups have less to do with it. I have the same Barts in a Modulus VJ4, Pedulla Rapture 5 and this Warwick Thumb, and they all sound so different. I do have MEC's in my NT Thumb, but it has a three band eq instead of two band. The Barts seem to be a little hotter than the MEC's, but again that could be height adjustment and gain control of the preamp. I wasn't a believer, but the wood and hardware are most important (until you get to the amp, of course). I wish I could get enough cash out of my NT and I would keep the BO. The neck feels similar and the sustain is comparable. I guess this is a lot in one post, but the original Warwick Thumb BOs (not sure about the pro series) are a great value. As for sound clips, I'm not sure how to post them.
