While I will probably regret this down the road, I decided to sell my Scheff. I got it from Peabody, and is in pretty much the same condition as then.

It's a 2002 Skyline (Made in Korea), with a very comfortable neck (34" scale, 1.6" nut width) and a slab rosewood fretboard. The pickups are Kent Armstrong "lipstick" single-coils, wired as a Jazz bass, but spaced a bit more. It's got a 3-band Bartolini preamp - cut/boost treble, mids and bass, volume (with a push/pull passive/active switch) and pickup blend. Peabody estimated its weight at 9.5 lbs and its seems like it.

Further improving its tone and feel are the candy apple red finish and the white pearloid pickguard :D It really is a gorgeous bass, pictures cannot do it justice. While not really noticeable, there are some minor scratches, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a 12 y/o bass...

The price is $850 shipped CONUS (PayPal only), which includes a hard-shell case. For a local sale, $800 (cash or PayPal), or $750 if you want a Lakland (Levy) gigbag instead of the HSC.
For partial trades, I'm mostly interested in effects - preamps, overdrives, and filters... pedals or rackmount, something cool and interesting... make me an offer I cannot refuse :)

The first three pictures are of the bass I'm selling (and the other three show colors better)

I may be in touch. It looks like I may have to put something up for sale. Regardless, someone is going to end up with a great bass....

    Bump for an awesome bass!
    I love my Scheff.
I had a Skyline Scheff for awhile, loved it so much I went all in and bought a US Scheff.
Any Scheff is hard to find usually. These are really special basses!

pm's replied, trade offers considered, still available...

ultimately, cash is king... for trade offers, i'm not seriously considering basses right now, but i will always entertain an offer for a good passive bass, especially something you don't see often... perhaps a reverse P-bass (where DG side of the pickup is closer to the neck), a J-bass with a P-bass neck, a single-coil p-bass, a bass with a darkstar pickup or two in it, etc... also, a lake placid blue Lakland Darryl Jones with a rosewood neck would make the list, as I really miss the one I used to have :)
