    Hey Everybody,

I'm pretty new here, so if I'm screwing something up, let me know.

Anyway, I have two Alembics I'm trying to pass on. First is a 2001 34" scale Series 1 5 String MK Bass with a Coco Bolo top and back, Mahogany core, Maple/Purple heart neck, and ebony fingerboard. I bought the bass from the guy who ordered it from Alembic. It's not super customized- it has the wider (19mm) spacing, chrome hardware, and a master volume knob (I could be wrong, but I don't think it was standard at the time). There is a small crack near the back plate, but it's definitely not structural or anything.

The other is a highly customized fretless Excel. Here's the info as provided by the guy who ordered it:
    Serial# 04X13385 - Fretless 5-string Excel

    Vermilion top
    Zebrawood accent lams w/purpleheart pinstripe
    Vermilion body
    Ebony/purpleheart/vermilion/mahogany neck
Satin finish on back of neck
    Striped macassar ebony fingerboard
    Continuous vermilion veneers on pickups

    34" scale
    Side LEDs: Green w/amber at 12th & 24th frets
MXY neck pickup, FatBoy bridge pickup
    Europa/Rogue electronics w/custom layout
    Recessed straplocks
    Gotoh tuners
    Chrome plated hardware

Both basses are in great condition, and have barely been played. OHSC included, and I could include the rack mounted power supply and 5 pin cable for the Series bass. I'm asking $4250 for the Series, and $3200 for the Excel. I'm also interested in trades. I'm looking for Carl Thompsons, other Alembics (4 strings), Foderas, and a few other things (I'm really looking for a Modulus VJ4, but that would be mostly to buy outright). Make me an offer!

I'm based in NYC, and I will ship to the lower 48. I would really prefer to not have to ship, so I'd probably knock the price down if you can pick them up.

Let me know if you're interested, and thanks for looking!!

Thanks, man. It's a serious bass. Maybe a little too serious for me.

So I've thought about it, and I think I'm going to take the Excel off the market for now. It's the only fretless I have right now.... So I'll entertain trade offers for another fretless, but as far as a sale goes, I think I'm gonna hold on to it. Thanks for all the interest, though!
