Acquired in recent trade deal from Bassdoubler, this Fodera was made in 2005, and is a superb example of the Imperial Elite chassis... Normal playwear and condition for a 2005 that has been lovingly used by a pro (not me!), but no apparent issues - beautifully setup.

EDIT: I have had a few questions on condition of the instrument, so I'll add details here. There is one pinhead ding on the upper back ash body panel (extremely superficial) that does not break the finish - more of an impression really. There is also one small ding on the heel that simply will not photograph - it is that small. Other than that I see no noticable issues. I'd call it normal playwear for an instrument that was lovingly cared for. Fretwear is minimal and the finish is looking good. Very fine condition and plays like a dream.

    Specs:

    Imperial 5 Elite
    34" scale
    19mm string spacing
    Body: northern ash
    Tone block: flamed maple
    Neck: 3-piece maple
    Fingerboard: birdseye maple
    Top: olive
Pickups: Fodera/Duncan dual coils (birdseye covers and ramp)
Preamp: Most current Pope pre updated in 2011
Weight: 10.1 lbs. (incredibly well balanced!)
    Case: OHSC as per Fodera

Please check out Bassdoubler's earlier thread on this fine instrument:

New price to encourage sale (new lower price 10/10/13) @ $7500 - shipping within CONUSA included.

Trades: Preference is for straight sale - If you have a Custom Shop Fender Precision or Jazz Bass or Lakland USA 44-60 (JO4) I'll consider that in partial trade - otherwise - priced for quick sale now

Trade values negotiable and trade + $$$'s are preferred as long as valuations make sense. I'm at deep wholesale pricing and will be assessing trade values the same way - thanks!

Truth be told, I'm more of a "Passive-Agressive" type! ;-)

Kidding aside, some cool trade offers, but she's still here!

Here's a bump for a bass I'd give up all my basses for! Wait I'd have too. Beautiful art.

^^^^^ In my advancing years, I have come to realize that keeping peace at home is a far better path to choose than getting that nervous shake when the Fedex truck rumbles up the driveway!

Whole new "fire-sale" price today! As expected, lots of interest at the pricing schedule, but she's still here... Come and get it! Hard to get into a quality custom build Fodera for less than this...

    Best,

    Mike

I have also had folks ask me, "Is this a bright bass?" In actuality it is tonally even across the spectrum lows/mids/highs, perhaps the most out of any of my Fodera. Check this video of the bass of Mitch recording it - really displays the instrument's tonally dense character (can you say solid lows?):

    With all that:

Whole new "fire-sale" price model unfurled! As expected, lots of interest at the current pricing schedule - Come and steal this from me!
