For sale is my Mayones Jabba Classic with amazing transparent black burst top, MM/J Delano pickups with Mayones active preamp, blocks and and binding on the figured maple neck, brand new setup and Fodera strings from Bass San Diego last week, strap locks with a really nice Perris wide leather strap and Mayones padded gig bag.

    Mayo M-BP2 bass preamp:
split so you can have a Humbucker bridge + Single neck, a Humbucker bridge, Single neck, Single + Single (in Humbucker mod) and a Single bridge
    2xVolume, 1xTre/Bass (stack), 1xPassiveTone, 1xActive/Passive miniswitch

Other than a few surface scratches and smudges, she is in phenomenal condition and basically plays itself. 100% handmade boutique bass from Poland, it has a huge array of tones. I feel like I can play any genre with this monster.

    $1750 shipped CONUS via FedEx.

Trades: I really want a Dingwall 4 string. Will also consider old Warwick basses from '86-'95 and possibly a few other thin profile necks. Would also consider trying a Zon, Pedulla MVP or a Mike Lull. I prefer thin or J profile necks and wenge wood. Cheers!

Waaaaaaaaaay cool bass. The Mayones Jabba I owned was very well made. if you've been working your stock of Sadowsky's, Nordys and Lull's, get this bass in the rotation!

How would you describe the pickup setup on that bass in comparison to a Lakland 44 series?

socialleper, I've only spent 10 minutes or so with a 44-94. It was a phenomenal bass and I think tonally very similar to the Jabba, seeing as how it has the same pickup configuration. Maybe another TBer can chime in on this???
The Mayones has a very powerful preamp and coaxes some ridiculously low end if called upon. Its the perfect bass in everyway - sound, feel, looks, perfectly level frets/neck... Its just not "my" bass and since the Mayones just stays hung up in my home office, I figure she is better else where being played regularly.
I did use the Jabba on one of my tracks for my bands upcoming album, so it will live on with me forever :)

Its very much a "jazz" neck. Just a touch more shallow than a Geddy Lee. Great natural/satin feel, extremely fast and easy to play!
