For sale or trade, I have a Tokyo series Sadowsky UV5.
    Ash body
    Maple board w/blocks and bindings
    2 band active preamp(no VTC)
    Sadowsky single coil pickups
Will include a Road Runner hard/soft case
Comes with black and pearl white pick guards
    Weighs in at 9.8 lbs

There is some wear on the fretboard, that I will show in photos to come. The neck on this bass is one of the best I have ever played, but I am more than content with my Fodera covering all 5 string duties for now, and am in a P-bass mode for other things.

Asking 1900 shipped and insured in the lower 48

The only trades I'm interested right now will have to include a little cash my way such as:

    A black Mesa Walkabout head
Fender American or Japanese 62 reissue P in sunburst with a tort guard
    A sadowsky metro PJ4 in sunbursts/tort
Maybe an inexpensive upright if you're local

Well, it was built over 10 years ago, but believe what you'd like to!

Possibly a reference to UV5(Ultra Violet)??

  6. No, my intention was to relate it to the Fukushima nuclear plant incident. ;) It happened in 2011, so probably it has no effect on this bass, but.... TOKYO!

anyone going to Japan to see the Olympic later?

Stay on topic please (especially in for sale threads).

Very nice combination of old school vibe and newer quality OP. Nice piece. GLWTS.

  9. Sorry about the fuzz.

I used to own a 4string Sadowsky tokyo and I loved it.

Some crummy pics showing the fingerboard wear and back of the bass. The neck has an amazingly comfy broken in feel.

Ok, new top of the trade pile for me would be a Sadowsky Metro RV4-HPJ in 59 bursts. Bonus points if it has a D-tuner installed!

Also into 2 for 1's or trade plus cash deals involving MIJ Fender reissues and Lakland Skylines. Particularly interested in 70's style J's and 62 style P's in burst/tort/rosewood.
