The orig post wouldn't allow for changing the title listing, so had to repost.

Selling my beautiful, lightweight Tobias Classic 4 neck thru bass. I goofed in the original posting, thanks to a fellow TBer for giving me the correct info.
I absolutely love it, but am stuck on jazz 1.5 nut width.
This is really tremendous looking in person. Has a clear matt finish so it shows no swirls or marks at all. A slight bit of wear on top of the neck pickup, but very slight. Neck is excellent and the fingerboard has some REALLY nice figuring. Smooth, low action and has my favorite Bartolini pre and pickups. Beautiful, growly bass with, what's come to be called, the slap switch. Lightweight at slightly under 9 lbs. Original case with very slight wear and all the factory case paperwork, wrench... The lock has never been set on the case. Approximately 12 years. Most of that time has been spent in it's case. Serial number is 5561.
As a Classic, this is an absolute bargain. I would challenge anyone to find a Classic for less.

Man that thing is a beauty!! Any way you can post some sound samples? I really want this bass. Anyone know if the sound is similar to the Growlers of this time?

Oh and how is the neck shape? Is it more of a C shape? I am a big fan of the Warwick neck size as that is currently what I play.

    Thanks

Hi, neck is a Tobias asym design. Front to back thicker on the bass side and thins out to the treble side, if that makes sense. Shoot me your email address and I'll send clips.

No it does not sound like a growler, a growler has a musicman pickup and a bolt on maple neck and mostly a 2 piece ash body.
This has split coil pickups a neckthru walnut laminated neck construction
Walnut wings with wenge toneplate, a very different bass all together...
I still would love to hear a soundclip:)

No, 3 layer: Walnut, Wenge and Walnut. Wenge is one that has become much less available and much for expensive. It's a nice weight at under 9 lbs.
