    1. Framus Star Bass
Huge bodied (physically and sonically) dual pickup Framus bass. Amazing tone from this bass that gets you so close to double bass territory it's amazing! check the sound clip that is attached if you don't believe me.
Used this bass multiple times in recording situations were the real double bass wasn't a viable option.
30" scale length for maximum thump. Strung with d'addario chromes, and they are well broken in.
pencil thin laminate neck all the way up and down with very little or no taper. Nut width is 1" & 3/8ths
Set up, rewired and frets filled at the Lakland shop.
original tuners are long gone, but these work great!
Electronics are vol-vol-tone pots. the switches are both on off switches for each pickup.
Strung with well played in GHS nickels.
Hardshell case that fits the bass perfectly
Get the same style bass used by Wyman and the Rolling Stones! I think they are reissuing these now, but you should get the original!

    [[DEL]2. Kay Truetone Bass[/DEL] SOLD!
Short scale, at 30.5" scale length, from nut to bridge.
    Amazing Kay "speed bump" pickup
    Coolest binding I've ever seen.
    "Hatchet" headstock
Good condition for its age, as it likely over 50 years old. Very natural and open sounding. Currently strung with GHS ground wound "brite flats"
Body is plywood and is not an arch top. Both back a top and are flat. Very lightweight!
Neck is quite thick from front to back, chunky but narrow at just under 1.5 for the nut width.
original tuners are long gone, but these work great!
Was recently rewired, refretted and set up all at the Lakland shop here in Chicago
My best guess is that this bass was branded under the "true tone" name at the Kay factory. On the headstock, it appears there once was a round badge logo, which is what the 'true tone's" from this era had.
Comes with a nice case with plush interior, fits like a glove.

    3. Eko Violin Bass copy MIJ
Most likely made in the Matsumoku factory. My guess is late 60's or early 70's for this. Long finish cracks run the length of the body, but are superficial only. This bass is structurally sound. Super comfortable, and my favorite nut width at 1" 5/8ths. Neck feels substantial, but not big at all. Effortless to play, with very small vintage frets (refretted 3 years ago and only played in the studio,) with easy 30" scale length from zero fret to bridge.
2 single coil pickups, Vol & tone knobs and a pickup selector switch.
    comes with chipboard case.

hard to tell. If I had to guess, I'd say yeah. It's wood, with metal adjusters...very common for these old Kays. It doesn't look new, that is for sure.
