Without a doubt this is the most well constructed, beautiful sounding and playing instrument I've ever owned. Talked to Ken Lawrence about this bass, many times to tell him how amazing it is and to ask how can the B string on a 33 scale be the best B string ever. Literally it is the tightest and most natural sounding B string you will ever here or play, all the way up to the 26 fret. I have had people come over and play this bass to compare it ot their new Fodera's with extended B headstocks and even they agreed their Fodera's B sounded weak in comparison. This bass today with all the features would run you around 10K. Why am I selling? Been playing my 4 string mainly, plus I never have taken this bass out of the house. Thus, this bass is as close to mint as you will find.

weight is around 9 even, but honestly feels like 7 pounds thanks to the distance between the two strap buttons, the upper strap button is nearly at the 9th fret, which makes this bass so easy to play on your left hand, as well as your right, more luthiers need to start doing this!

I am happy to offer a 24 hour trial period on this instrument, minus shipping. If the instrument is not to your liking, I will give a full refund if returned the next day upon receiving. A policy I personally feel should be offered with almost every purchase on TB.

    thank you

What strings do you use on this bass (tight low B)?

The tightest sounding low B you will have ever played, promise, if not you can return it. I have had pros play this bass who can confirm, maybe they will chime in, although I think one is trying to raise the funds right now so I'm not sure if they want to help convince someone else to buy it.

I have been using DR Sunbeams 45-125

I had this bass for a bit while it was owned by someone else here in Toronto, I set it up before it moved on to the OP.

I can vouch that this is one of the nicest basses I've played ....beautiful tone and playability. Ken is one of the very very best out there.

    Good luck with the sale!

This is a great price on this bass. Ken pours his heart and soul into each and every piece of art that he creates. This is, in my opinion, one of the top basses that has ever been on TB.

In addition, I have bought several pieces from Ari. He is an absolute professional player and has been a +1 guy to work with on every transaction. I will be surprised if this bass lasts very long at this price.

    Best of luck my friend!
