Hard decision but putting my Lakland up for sale to finance some stuff. This is a newer Lakland Skyline 55-AJ, which is Skylines answer to an active 5 string Jazz bass. Loaded with Laklands Vintage Wound jazz pickups and the Bartolini MK-1 preamp. It only comes in black or red flamed maple top with an ash back, this one is red and absolutely stunning. There is a finish scuff under the b string between the pups and some scuffing in the typical slap player area just under the G string. It sounds fantastic, fills the room great, all the best active jazz bass qualities with a wide spaced 35 inch rosewood on maple neck. There are some hairline scratches and such on the back too light for photos, but no major divets/dings/gouges to speak of.

I'll be loading pics tomorrow, asking 900 shipped CONUS, through paypal, with a Lakland hard case. Offers are certainly welcome but no trades, thanks!

I have it a little over 9 pounds on the ol bathroom scale. Balances really well when strapped on IMHO.

Controls are volume, blend, mids, and stacked treble/bass.

I was just notified by a fellow TB'er and some research that the pups are actually laklands own Vintage Wound Jazz bass pickups, not Bart's. The preamp is indeed the MK-1. I will change the listing accordingly. Sorry for the mix up folks. She still punches like a prize fighter, to the point where I'm still on the fence about selling...but make me an offer, let's see what happens.

The pick ups are single coil. I have used this bass through my Markbass set up as well as my Ampeg SVT-CL and it has proven very quiet and clear with both rigs.
