Hi I have a great condition, pristine sounding and hard to come by, Mike Pope made Fodera Preamp/DI with a absolutely killin' Jensen mod done by the man himself. I would keep this, but Im a bit of a purist and this thing imparts a ton of highly graphic mojo. I love the sound of this DI, but it conflicts with my penchant for an uncolored signal. Selling for $250 conus or would be willing to trade for a summit audio TLA50........I will probably regret this.

I would liken it to a really quality amp with its graphic EQ engaged. Kinda massive, and very present, but with a crisp ss type of clean energy. The mids really bore a hole into the mix (but are cut/boost with a center detànt for flat, and can be cut via an on/off engage switch), the bottom is really uncluttered and deep, and the highs are really "active", but not harsh or overly brittle when really cranked. Each band seems to be well extremely well thought out and when combined offers a really rich and well balanced articulate sound.

WOW .....sounds like something you would not want to get rid of!! I am looking for an outboard pre to use as a solo switch..... to pull in a more mid centered tone for soloing. Is this the same Fodera 2011 preamp available through them (minus the Pope mod you speak of?).

I'm not certain if it's the same as the 2011, but I think it's frequency centers may have been set slightly differently. Do a forum search, and I think Pope himself answers that very question.
    All the best,
    Chris
