For Sale Only - MTD 635-24 Marilyn #45

    Specs:
Chambered Mahogany Body with a Blackened Redwood Burl Top
Maple Neck with an Unlined Macassar Ebony Fingerboard
    Matching Walnut Trussrod Cover
Matching Walnut Peghead Vaneer with MTD “World” Logo
    35" Scale
    24 Positions
Bill Bartolini Pickups and Electronics with a Ghost Piezo System

Incredible bass! It’s absolutely stunning the amount of tonal variations you can derive by tweaking settings and playing style. This bass can be very thick and organic or focused and nimble. Just depends on what you desire. Selling for two reasons – just took ownership of a custom Zon Sonus fretless, which is a much different sounding bass but better suits my needs and I’m getting into road biking and need funds for that hobby. This bass has been mostly played in my office and only taken out for a few Church services. No smoky bars or wild, crazy frat parties.

Bass is in “like new” condition with minimal signs of wear. Shipped with original MTD hard shell case that has never walked out of my house - I exclusively used a gig bag.

Sale also includes factory build sheet signed by Michael Tobias.

Current MSRP on this bass is $7,850 with a new sell price of $5,900. My sell price is $4,700 and buyer pays shipping (US only). Not open to any trades unless you have a Celinder Classic P Bass. Please don’t PM with other trade offers. Not to be mean, but, I can promise you I won’t be interested.

Wow - lovely MTD. I love the way the fingerboard matches the top wood. :)

Okay... I let this one sit for a while b/c I was having a change of heart. Now it's time to move it along.

Bet this is killer. Never been able to play one, though.

    Cheers.

Kevin, I checked out your video with you playing your "Vintage F Bass". Nice chops and great sounding bass. Comparatively, my MTD has a slightly "bigger" sonic footprint with a more organic/acoustic tone. If you'd like to arrange a trial, let me know.
