I need to clean out my bass collection, so I am putting up my Roma Hybrid for sale. Bass is in great shape. I've had the sound post replaced by Luthier Jeff Branch, and he also did a bridge set up both of which improved tone marvelously. There is what looks like a crack towards the bottom of the heel, but my luthier informs me it is a seam, as the heel is actually two pieces of wood, and this is where the joint is. Comes with a home made piezo pickup, and a real nice living room stand. Includes Moravian soft bag, which is also in great shape.

Ebony fingerboard with lots of life left, ebony tailpiece, adjustable bridge.

    Local pickup only. $1500

I have a 1/4 size Roma hybrid that I rent out to students and it's a nice bass for the price. If I was local, I'd love to play yours to see if the sound is similar. GLWTS.

What sort of strings have you tried on it, what did you like or not, and what strings are on there now? (KungFuSheriff will, no doubt, be able to tell me what strings you have just by the color of the wrapping on the bridge end but I am not that geeky. :) )

That's interesting, your Geek-ness. :) I have Helicore Orchestra Mediums on my 1/4 size and they work well both ways, arco and pizz.

I don't see the yellow band at the peg end denoting 'Light Gauge'.

I thought the band was at the ball end. Guess that tells you what I think of Helicores...
