    Spector Coda 4 Standard

This is the original US made Spector Coda 4 Standard. According to the Spector website they made less than 50 of these in a variety of colors. This one is #51, hand signed by Stuart Spector, so maybe they made a few more. :D

This bass has all of the traditional Jazz bass looks, feel, and passive tone. However, with a little pull on the tone knob, and you engage the Aguilar OBP-2 preamp, which, combined with the Aguilar 60's pickups, this is one powerful jazz bass! You can get all kinds of tones out of it. I was actually really surprised how versatile it is. :bassist:

Here's the specs from the Spector Site (http://www.spectorguitars.com/models/woodstock.html):

    • 34" scale - 20 frets
    • Gloss finish standard
    • Aguilar 60's J at the neck
    • Aguilar 60's J at the bridge
    • With 9v Aguilar OBP-2 Circuit featuring a bypass push-pull pot
    • Pearl Dot Neck Markers Standard
    • Pau Ferro fingerboard
    • chrome hardware

As you can see on the Spector site, the the original list price was at least $3,500. It's a true boutique jazz bass that will hold its own with any of the Sadowsky type basses out there, IMO.

I just received this bass in a trade, and the only reason I'm selling it now is, just a few days ago, I bought a dream Spector and stretched my finances way too thin. So, last in first out before I get too attached.

Spector's CODA line is gaining serious popularity and, after playing this bass, I can see why.

I personally cleaned, polished and set-up with a new set of GHS Boomers last week. Low action, no fret wear. About a 9 out of 10 due to some typical play wear on the pick guard. Great shape all around.

It's about 9.5 lbs on my bathroom scale, but feels on the heavy side of 9.5. I'll say this, though... It's a rock solid bass. It's on a completely different level from my old Fender Geddy Lee in every way.

    Comes with original Spector Case.

    Asking $1,250 plus $60 shipping
