Hey guys, here is one beauty up for grabs. 2004 Spector NS-5 serial #113. I purchased this from the original owner for my personal studio and have never had it leave the house. I just have decided to stick with 4 strings out of personal preference. Bass is in great condition (as you can see from pics) but does have a couple small blemishes on the back.

    DEAL DONE

Would consider trade for 4 string spector (plus cash if needed)

I have a ton of transactions on rig-talk and ebay all with 100% feedback so buy with confidence!

Too many strings for an NS-2. NS-5XL, looks like.

Gorgeous bass, though. Good luck with the sale. :)

    Nice looking Spector!

Just FYI, it isn't an NS-2; it's either an NS-5 (34" scale) or an NS-5XL (35" inch scale).

    Cheers

Sorry guys. I fixed it. Typing too fast and put 2 instead of a 5. :)

Am i correct in guessing that the headstock of this bass bears the "SSD" abalone inlay?
If so, this is an SSD NS-5 to add clarity to the description...

These are some of the finest basses ever, PERIOD,...

my main player is #76 of this line....
    A fine, fine breed indeed!!!

    Best of luck

The seller posted the year is 2004. It should be a NS5-XL, 35" scale. It would probably help to post a picture of the rear of the headstock with the model number and year.

Actually, a picture of the front of the head stock will help out even more.

I do not think this is a 35" ns-5 XL, farboozle.

My money is on this being an SSD NS-5 34" made in Woodstock, NY. These were standard as 34" scale, although a custom order could have certainly made it 35" (PJ at Spector could confirm that).

The 35" ns-5 xl models were becoming more popular in the late 90's. They were rare (or perhaps even non-existent in 94')....

Also, the back of the headstock does not indicate that it is an "XL"...

Can the seller confirm / deny (picture of front of head-stock?)?
    thx

    Beautiful instrument!
Best of luck with the sale!!!

Hey everyone! I just got to play this bass two days ago and I have to say I'm sad to see it go. It sounds amazing! And also I had seen pictures of the bass before but when I opened the case I was amazed how better the bass looked than in the pictures. It's GORGEOUS!
