Still on the fence about this one...I absolutely LOVE the way this bass looks and sounds, but the neck profile is just not what I prefer.

There's just something sexy about White Spectors...

It's really a phenomenal sounding bass, based on the venerable 1983 NS-2J. The bass features dual active EMG Jazz pickups and electronics, bolt on neck, brass nut, 1.65" nut width, Badass I chrome bridge.

Sounds like a jazz bass on steroids, here's some fan footage from a gig I played at the House of Blues a few months back running the bass through a Darkglass B3K :bassist::

The bass is in very good condition, with the only noticeable player wear being scratches on the neck plate, and a few dimples in the finish that do not go thru the poly finish. Overall condition: 9 out of 10.

Weight of the bass is a touch over 8 lbs on my bathroom scale.

Will I include a set of brand new EMG JAX's as well as the original EMG's currently installed - $950 shipped

Any questions of course feel free to ask ;)

    Cheers!

GLWTS Bump. Wish I had the cash, this would go great with my white NS2A.

Gnarly and beastly tone like Rex Brown!

This is what I thought of:

Thanks for all of the compliments guys, particularly the Rex reference...he is THE benchmark for Spector rock tone as far as I'm concerned :bassist:

As I said in the original post, I absolutely LOVE the tone and look of this bass; if the neck profile wasn't an issue for me I would NEVER consider parting with it.

My old bass, ah those were good days... really great bass here, and the only reason I passed it on to MDBass was a similar preference for a narrower neck. I just found that 1.5" jazz necks work for me. I have them on all my J and P basses.

Yep, still on the fence about this one, and if you check out that live footage you'll definitely understand why! :bassist:

Tempting, but a white JJ Spector with a slimmer neck profile is really the only thing that will scratch this itch ;)

Hopefully you're giving that Combustion a good thrashing on a regular basis! :bassist:

Great bass, even better seller. Matt's a great guy, and I love the grind in the video.

These are really well made basses. Great natural growly Spector tone.
