    Still on the fence about this one...I absolutely LOVE the way this bass looks and sounds, but the neck profile is just not what I prefer.

    There's just something sexy about White Spectors...

    It's really a phenomenal sounding bass, based on the venerable 1983 NS-2J. The bass features dual active EMG Jazz pickups and electronics, bolt on neck, brass nut, 1.65" nut width, Badass I chrome bridge.

    Sounds like a jazz bass on steroids, here's some fan footage from a gig I played at the House of Blues a few months back running the bass through a Darkglass B3K :bassist::

    The bass is in very good condition, with the only noticeable player wear being scratches on the neck plate, and a few dimples in the finish that do not go thru the poly finish. Overall condition: 9 out of 10.

    Weight of the bass is a touch over 8 lbs on my bathroom scale.

    Will I include a set of brand new EMG JAX's as well as the original EMG's currently installed - $950 shipped

    I have the one Matt wants (shaved neck) lol. This is a great bass and a great seller. These are rare so grab it while you can.

    Thanks for all of the compliments guys, particularly the Rex reference...he is THE benchmark for Spector rock tone as far as I'm concerned :bassist:

    As I said in the original post, I absolutely LOVE the tone and look of this bass; if the neck profile wasn't an issue for me I would NEVER consider parting with it.

    My old bass, ah those were good days... really great bass here, and the only reason I passed it on to MDBass was a similar preference for a narrower neck. I just found that 1.5" jazz necks work for me. I have them on all my J and P basses.

    Tempting, but a white JJ Spector with a slimmer neck profile is really the only thing that will scratch this itch ;)

    Hopefully you're giving that Combustion a good thrashing on a regular basis! :bassist:
