Hey TB friends, I am selling my Wilkins Road Tested Jazz. When I bought it, Pat asked why I wasn't going with a P-Bass since we had been discussing P's during previous conversations…I couldn't really answer the question...:eyebrow: However, I should have gone with a P-Bass. Sonically, a P suits the music I play better, so this amazing Jazz bass goes up for sale.

It's been to a few rehearsals and one gig and I can say that it's awesome. Great feel, great tone, light weight Alder body (8.6 pounds) and a beauty to look at. I did a few upgrades when I ordered it, which were a matching headstock and a Hipshot A style bridge. The pickups are Seymour Duncans wired passive, v-v-t, and the tuners are Hipshot Ultralights. The bass comes in a very nice Access gig bag. The bass is #0141 in the series.

There are 2 small dings on the body which are the size of pin heads - the pics are below.

I am selling for [DEL]$1600[/DEL] $1450 shipped ($1400 local in Los Angeles) in the lower 48. I will not ship out of the country. I will accept PayPal and can ship as soon as funds arrive.

    Enjoy some pictures!

Sorry, Rob! I forgot those important details…

The bass has an Alder body and is passive.

Almost everyone knows that Pat Wilkins finishes are the best around. But not everyone knows that he also makes a killer neck.

    Is that 70's pickup spacing?

This is true. I selected this neck out of 3 that he had ready to go in the shop. He removed the logo and painted it for me.

This is a great bass…someone will be very happy.

I believe it's 60's spacing on the alder rosewood models, though I'm not certain.

This is a "need a p-bass" bump…lower the price a bit to $1450, shipped in the lower 48.

Here is a pic of the case…it's lightweight and slightly rigid.
