Hey guys. Title says it all really. I LOVE this bass. Why trade it?
Funds too low for a new bass + minty DS pickup with no bass to put it in = trade for possible match :D

I am NOT routing an all original 1983 Fullerton RI P bass, and I'm sure you guys would agree on that.

Wonderful condition, and the LIGHTEST RI Precision I've come across: 8.2 frickin pounds!

    What am I looking for?

USA Lakland P or some other iteration of quality P bass. Willing to take on a bass of "lesser" value + cash, but can't really add cash toward a crazy boutique bass.

I know, I know, pics...I don't get back home till the end of next week. So, will have pics up in around 7 days...ick.
Suffice it to say it's a really clean bass with some nicks along the edge but NO major gouges, dings, scrapes, etc. Neck is dead on straight, truss has tons of life in it, frets are not at all chewed...they have decades of life in them yet unless you are the alter ego of Bruce Banner.

EDIT: Several straight sale requests. OK, GC has one for sale that is heavier than mine (ok ok, 2 ounces heavier), in the same shape but with a tight truss (according to their own sales rep), and with an ugly laminate line down the bottom half of the bass for almost $2700. I will use that as my price:

$1950 shipped and insured to your door.

MOTIVATED TO SELL DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCE, PRICE DROP!!!

    SOLD

I want this so badly. I'm about the biggest Fullerton RI P fan you're gonna find around here. My main player is a '57 RI. But I really need a '62 to match.. man. (Looking for things to sell.)

    Replied.

Lots of bites, but no definitive takers yet.

These are only going to go up in value.

Is this finished in Nitro? Is the fingerboard width at the nut 1.75 inches?

Both deals fell through as parties backed out.
Still for sale, one more person on the queue. Some local interest as well. Still taking names down just in case this last person in line also backs out.
