Wow... I've been debating this in my head for quite some time now, but I've finally decided to go ahead and tentatively put my beloved Valenti up on the block. Click on any of the following thumbs for a larger version...

I'm not quite sure how to give this bass a worthy description; it's an absolute tone monster and one of the coolest basses I've ever seen. It's got Sadowsky hum-cancelling pups and VTC equipped preamp... Unbelievable tone to say the least. Fit, finish, and playability are all top notch with the action set quite low and buzz-free on an arrow straight neck. Just got done polishing the finish/frets, and threw on a new set of Rotosound Swing 66's. Some very minor player wear, the worst being some slight swirling when held at the right angle, a pinhead sized dimple not through the clear, a bit of scuffing and a ding near the jack, and a little fretwear, all of which I'll try to get pictures of later today or tomorrow. Comes with D-tuner installed, will ship in the nice and snug Fender hardshell pictured, and I'll be including the original BWB pickguard as well.

As of now I'm going to keep this one FT only, so feel free to send any and all offers my way. I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but I do know that I won't be able to add cash on my end so keep that in mind. I don't mind your stuff + cash offers though, and remember, the worst I can do is say no...

I wondered where this bass wound up. I used to own this bass a while ago, I sold it to help buy a Sadowsky 5 string. I was the one that added the black mirror pickguard, and I had Nino add the VTC.

A little history on this bass. This was either the first, or one of the first, basses that Valenti made. You can tell because 1) It doesn't have his signature headstock shape and 2) It doesn't have a serial number, even though it has his logo. The neck and body are from Warmoth, the pickups and electronics are Sadowsky.

It's definitely a killer bass. I wouldn't mind owning it again, except I've come to learn that I'm not a fan of coated fretboards, and I don't really have anything to offer in trade.

That's absolutely right about that tone Troop, when you sold it to me It passed too fast through my hands. I would love to have it back too. I hope I have something he's looking for.

All PM's replied! Thanks for all the kind words, this one really is a stunner! Bathroom scale puts this one at 10.4 - 10.8 depending on how I stand on it.
