    Hey all,

Long story short: I have a GK1001 head (love it) and a 410 cab.

I might have the opportunity tomorrow to trade an acoustic bass (not upright) for another 410 cab.

The idea is to be able to run 2. They'd each be 8ohms and the manual says I can run that from the head.

QUESTION: can I run one with a speakon on cable and the other with a regular head/can cable?

I wouldn't see a problem with this as it would be the same idea but I just wanted to check, this would be my first time trying something like this.

    Cheers!

Yeah, you can run them like that just fine. Electrically, it's the same, just got a different type of connector on the speaker cables, that's all. Enjoy.

No trouble, except the glasses breaking in the bar as they rattle off tables ;)

I've yet t run them at the same time but I did get them together. One if these days I'll upgrade the cabs but for now I'm more than happy!

Spray paint one of the grills either all black or silver.
If it was me, the all black stealth look is pretty cool.
You probably wouldn't care to upgrade after that.

Not a shabby idea. I'd definitely do the black, likely a project for the coming summer moneys :) cheers!
