Yup. It's gonna get crazy. I saw seasons 1-3 before I read the books. I'm just starting book 3 now. I need to hurry up.

Season 4 starts this Sunday! Can't wait to see how the series covers the events of the 2nd half of A Storm Of Swords. It's definitely tough to follow up something like the Red Wedding, but I think this is going to be really good!

I am beyond stoked. By far my favorite show. I didn't read the books so I have no idea what is going to happen. I'd like to see Geoffrey get killed (the torture scene with the hookers made my blood boil), but it looks like Tywin was already taking over. I love Arya and hope she plays a big role coming up this season. Lastly, I wonder how far Khalisi's army and leadership will actually go. Nothing beats this show for pure brutality, sex, tension, and clever (and many!) storylines.

I'm midway through book three. I was hoping to finish books 4 and 5 before the show starts up but I don't think I'll be able to get through 2500 pages in the next 3 days.

You can wait and watch it on HBO Go later if you want. I can use my chromecast to watch the episodes on my big screen anytime.

I think season 4's "Purple Wedding" will come close...:bassist:

Cant wait! Got a new big screen just for Sunday night, and my wife is almost caught up through season three. Two years of listening to me rant & rave about the show, and she finally decided to watch a few episodes. Like me, she is now hooked...

Dont 'speed' through the books. Take your time. there is soo much that goes on, and so many different characters, it's easy to blur through things, and not realize a connection later on.

I watched seasons 1 & 2, then read all the books before season 3. So, so much happens; I did a re-read afterwords, and noticed that so many thing popped out that I missed the first time through because I was blowing through them, excitedly (I think thats a word), to get to the next one.

He (G R R Martin), has the next book (The Winds Of Winter), due out hopefully by the end of the year.

This season is gonna be nuts. The second half of book 3 is my favourite by far. Expect something crazy every episode & to have some kind of major event to happen most episodes. Season five will taper off thoe. Also theve cast three pornstars this season.

The Purple Wedding is a totally different deal. And I'm definitely looking forward to that, too!

I'm hopeful that The Winds Of Winter will be out within a year, but I don't know if it's worth getting optimistic about that. I know there's a reference book that's due out before the end of 2014, but I'm really trying to be patient about the release date for the next novel.

Do you know just how tough that is since I've read all the way through Book 5, plus the preview chapters for Book 6?!?!?!

I have to admit, I have watched ONE honest trailer. And it drove me nuts. It was good for the first minute, but it just droned ON and ON and ON!!! Those guys could learn a little bit about the value of editing.

+100000 I watched that last scene twice she is going to be one bad mofo when she gets older she will avenge the death of her family. I kept hearing great things about Game Of Thrones but I have never watched an episode until this past Friday I watched the marathon and I'm hooked.

I didn't think the episode was that great but I suppose they have to set things up for the season to come. The last scene though was gold!

I'm not too familiar with the show. A local paper here had a huge article on the upcoming season.

Can someone explain this picture that accompanied the article to me?

Thanks! Sorry for the old phone poor quality photo.

Hmmm....That's the writer of the books thinking about a hotdog violating a doughnut. He's rather fat and there's lots of boobs in the show. I don't know why there's a woman covering her ears, and there are dragons and direwolves in the show.
