Just download Gary Willis' new album Retro. It's just Bass, drums and Rhodes. I've been playing it all day and if you are a Willis fan I think you'll love this. His playing sounds great. There is a good mix of ballads and upbeat tunes. I do find myself wishing for a different keyboard sound to change things up but the playing is top notch.
Got a link to buy a high quality download from Willis' Facebook page.

    Listening right now.
"Disconnectivity" kills it all over the place!
Great playing by all three on this disc.

Gary Willis is an absolute MONSTER bassist, musician, arranger and composer.

Abstract Logix is great! I really dig that you can download a album the same day it's released as you wait for it to come in the mail, Amazon does that for some items too. Back on topic, I love the new Willis album!:bassist:

It is cool...though, I have had Amazon auto-rip the wrong album into my cloud on a couple of occasions. Gotta love that.

Retro is the album that finally got Willis on the cover of Bass Player mag...
    ;)

So far this was the disappointment of the year for me, as far as new music is concerned.

I think this album is just amazing. Actual Fiction is fun and quirky, but Retro is just so pure. And the playing and tunes are phenomenal. Willis is, in my view, the premier fretless player out there. Fantastic and fluid solos. I just came across the album last week, I was missing out.
