Who else here has GBS (Gear Build Syndrom)?

Oberton just released a few new drivers that invaded my mind but refuse to leave it.....
I really wanna build a 12/6 horn-reflex cab with this puppy http://oberton.com/index.php?option...&catid=48:neodymium-loudspeakers&limitstart=1 and this cute mid driver http://oberton.com/index.php?option...id=340:6nm150&catid=48:neodymium-loudspeakers
Maybe I'm choosing the ferrite 12" instead of the Neo, in a horn-reflex both have about the same max spl and the Ferrite is even lighter. http://oberton.com/index.php?option...&id=387:12b400-&catid=49:ferrite-loudspeakers

It's not going to be an über neutral cab like my 210 with coaxial mid/high driver but one with a build in "voice". It should sound massive, forward and sorta dirty-in-the-mids and it should be small and angled towards the player.

If you wanna know what a horn-reflex is check this thread http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f15/piccolo8-cab-build-piccolo-bass-1010311/?highlight=8mb201

GBS(Gear Build Syndrom)? Yes that's me. I'm going through withdrawals while in transition and moving to a new place.
  3. You know, as much as I love buying the basses that I love... I always feel like I want to start building my own.

I likely will after I buy the next couple of basses I'm dying to own. It will be a fretless though, to simplify the process.

I share this affliction and it's not been easy. Lot's of ideas but considerable lack of time to devote.

Even if I didn't have a day-time-job the time available wouldn't be sufficient for all the ideas I have in my head.....aaargghhh
