Bass was a late 2010 Sam Ash purchase (new, not Demo) and is marked:

    Crafted in Japan
    SERIAL NUMBER T003029

I got this from the Fender blog site:

    Crafted in Japan T + 6 digits 2007-2008

    Made in Japan T + 6 digits 2007-2010

2007 was another transitional year for Japanese-made Fender instruments, with the return to the “Made in Japan” country-of-origin identifier on the serial number decal. This was a running change, and both “Made in Japan” and “Crafted in Japan” decals appear on instruments from 2007 and 2008.

Pickup poles are slightly raised above plastic covers and have chamfered edges. The plastic covers look brand new!

I will be happy to pull them if there is something specific you want to know.

    Bass is MIJ.

Pots are 3 identical CTS, 250K, audio taper, 019064, 0714. Not sure which code is model vs. date.

    Tiny capacitor, cannot read codes.

Quality jack, probably Japanese Gotoh or Speakercraft.

Absolutely original with no signs of modes or re-wiring.

Cannot get pics until later today.

    Thanks, David

Out of sight, out of mind.

    Had completely forgotten about this.

Did my research on the pots - date code identifies them as CTS made the 14th week of 2007 - consistent with what I believe is a 2009 manufacturing date for the bass.

Pots are 3 identical CTS, 250K, audio taper, 019064, 0714.

Quality jack, definitely high quality Switchcraft.

Absolutely original with no signs of modes or re-wiring.

    Please see pics below.

    Thanks, David
