Gibby Studio V or Epi Pro V

Would anyone pay $1500 for a discontinued Gibson Studio V (black, pristine, with HSC)? I can get an Epi Pro V for 1/3 the price (or less), but I've always wanted a "real" T-bird and I don't need more than 1 bass so it needs to be a 5-er.

I've played the Epi and it is fine but doesn't compare to the Gibby IV. I've never played a Studio because I've never seen one in real life. I know the Studio's have a set-neck vs. neck thru but I think I would welcome the punchier mids...

Anyone have any experience with both?
