the title says it, I'm looking for some keyboard/synth softwate that lets you map keys on the piano to your keyboard similar to garage band. I was messing around with it on my mom's iMac and thought "hey, this would be great for recording the keyboard in rush covers!" Too bad it doesn't exist for PC, so I can't download it for my laptop. So does anyone know of software that has some of the ease of use that garage band does with similar keyboard features and a ton of sound options?

Reaper has a keyboard to MIDI map built-in. Pair that with any decent soft synth (E-MU Proteus VX comes to mind, since you can download it free from the Creative/E-MU website) and you're good to go. Might want to add something with some more flavour and tweakability like Synth1, for those weirder sounds.
