    There's a good interview with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers bass player Ron Blair over at bassplayer.com, with lots of nuggets of wisdom regarding bass playing in general. Check it out, it's very interesting. Blair is definitely a "serve the song" bassist! :)

    Love me some Ron! Great unpretentious player,and his bass part gets heard. Always loved his upper neck fills at the end of "the waiting". Thanks for posting the link!
