    Fellas,
I just bought a new Hartke XL4.5X10 cab...I also have a Hartke XL4X10 cab....I read the manual for the LH500 and it doesn't say anywhere where I can't use two cabs....In the manual it gives directions for setting up two cabs if using the LH1000 but not the LH500.......
Anyone here use the LH500 and run two cabs off of this amp?

As long as those cabs are both rated at 8ohms, you're good to go.

    For what ?

You can run ANY amount of cabs with that head as long as you stay within the minimum ohm load rating.

I play an LH500 into two cabs almost daily, both 8 ohms, a 115 and a 210. For about a year. Zero problems.

You want to make sure the amps are compatible regarding the ohms thing.

I use my LH1000 in bridge mode when running my LDS cabs. They're both 8 ohm cabs.

Love the amp. Old school tone & juice to humble guitar players.

Now, if only the keys players would stay off my lawn!

On page 7 of the manual "Guided Tour - LH500 Rear Panel"

    5. SPEAKER OUTPUT - "Connect any 4, 8, or 16 ohm bass cabinet(s)...

Hartke says to use only "appropriately rated speaker cabinets (at least 600 watts @ 4 ohms) that are specifically designed for bass.

    Hope this helps.

You're welcome. Good settings for me on a Precision bass are:

Bass 2 Mids 10 Treble 2 The Epifani Cabs are both rated at 400 watts rms. I have yet to run it wide open, but it is pretty loud with the volume at 8 and no problems with the speakers.
