I acquired a 1964 P bass neck with a fairly shallow profile compared to most pre cbs necks I have felt.
I have felt one shallower and know from a previous post that there are at least two members with lower profile pre cbs P
    necks than this.

My question is, If I want to put a set of LaBella flats on this neck, should I have any real concern as to whether the neck will accept the added tension without permanent adverse effects?
I like low action so probably something heavier than lights wound be appropriate

Only one way to find out. Some necks can take the fat strings, some necks can't.
