If this doesn't exist yet, seeing as how my Ibanez 776PB clocks in at 11.6lbs, and I freakin' LOVE it, then "why not" for a thread. I work out every day, and have a good strap, so these things help to make it pretty much a non-issue.

If you have a bass that clocks in at least 10.5 lbs, then you belong here...post yer bowling ball or concrete slab o' bass!!

    Here's mine:

Haven't weighed my new Sterling Ray 35 yet, but it sure seams HEAVY compared to my old Ibanez SR300 (like 3X as heavy!). But it's also got lots more "bark" and sustain. So I happily accept the weight penalty.

It's great to see a club for bass owners with instruments tipping the scales at double-digit poundage.

    #5 Red Label
    #6 bachlover

Folks, I think it's clear that the victor, so far, is DwaynieAD, with his damned-near 15lb. Jazz monster...good Lord. Looks like #'s 10, 11, 12, 13, and yeah, 14, are up for grabs. Craziness, I tell ya.

Cool, my bass is light then. My shoulder instantly feels better! :D

    I have a chinese 7 stringer which weighs around 7.5 Kgs... That's 16.5 pounds.
No wonder I never play it :D though it's actually for different reasons, mainly it being a chinese 7 stringer.

This one's 10.86 lbs, fairly heavy.

This one's kind of cheating, but it's 14.69 lbs. :)

My '75 lefty Fender P, 11.5 lbs. The first thing I bought for this bass was an extra-wide padded strap.

Does double digits make the club? My Ibanez ATK305 is my heaviest (I think, as I didn't weigh them all) at 10lbs-12oz on the doctor’s scale.

My Jazz V is an even 10lbs.
