    Hello everybody
I've been playing the electric bass for a probably 5 years now and lately I've found myself looking at pictures of upright basses and imagining how cool it would be to play one. So now I'm trying to find a local teacher and a place where I can rent an instrument. Does anybody know any good places in Northern NJ (I'm in Essex County, willing to travel but I'd rather not have to go into NYC for my lessons)?

As for the styles I like, let me post a few examples:

^the guitar work is really cool, and the bassist complements it perfectly

I also like the Bill Black stuff on Elvis records.
Does anybody have any other good suggestions to listen to for inspiration?

    Thanks!
