    Hi,

Appealing to the experts here :) I just bought this 1976 Fender Precision on eBay:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/1976-fender-precision-bass-/111271138622

Besides the fact that I may have overpaid for it –*I fell for the blonde finish and the 'A' neck, I guess – does it look legit? The only part that's not original according to the seller is the pick guard.

    Any thoughts are appreciated!

    Thanks!

Other than the guard it definitely looks legit from what the photos show. Nice score if it plays well. I used to have a '75 that looked almost identical.

If you love this bass and it's the right one for you, you didn't overpay. I have a '75 with an A neck and I love it.

    Non-expert ramblings -

Matching serial on the neck and the guard means they are meant to be together. Does that not appear to be the case? Blonde probably pretty rare, with an "A" neck more so.

    Sweet bass.
