I found a great fitted case for my 32" Squier, and figured I could use the old case for something else, as it was far too large for the 32" Squier. However, nothing I have fits it!!

My MIM Jazz body is too wide by at least 1", and the head pocket is also too small in length and width - it hits the tuners. None of my P bases or Furys even begin to fit.

The case is molded with "Fender USA" on the outside, and the pocket is shaped like a Jazz Bass.

The body pocket lower bout is 13" wide, the interior length is 45-1/2" from bottom to the top of the headstock recess, which is 5-1/2" wide at it's widest.

I may need to sell it off to one of you if we can figure out what it fits! Thanks

    I have three guesses:
    JP-90
    Jazz Plus
    Prodigy

All were made in the early '90s.

WOW! I have never heard of any of these! I wonder what else can fit it. Maybe something non-Fender?

+1 as the P Lyte has itty bitty tuners.

...and if true, I could be interested (via the Classifieds, of course!). ;)

Yep. Urge or Lyte, I'd bet.

Don't worry, SOMEBODY will buy that from you if you can't use it yourself. Probably kinda rare-ish.

Thanks guys - you are always a great help. I have always kinda yearned for a Lyte - so maybe I should hang on to it - at least for now.

The strange stuff you find on CL!

Just met with Bassamatic tonight and came home with a nice, well-fitted case for my Fender Precision Lyte Deluxe. And a new friend. :)

That is one nice P-Lyte, ShowLow! I hope it enjoys it's new home.
