How does this tone?

    Actually, you don't want a tweeter for that tone. That's probably why you're not getting a similar sound. You need to cut all your frequencies past 4 or 5 khz to get a sound like that.

    For now, get rid of everything except one distortion box and your EQ and try to get a good sound with that. Cut treble frequencies as needed, and then go from there and see what you come up with turning the dials.

    "The distortion comes from the preamp alone. It is an ampeg SVP-BSP preamp"
    "I am using a dualband compressor that allows more limiting on the high band than on the low band. I am also using a Ampeg svp bsp preamp with mids on full.High and Low set at 12o'clock."

    Second video:
    Distortion comes from "... my Ampeg SVP BSP Pre amp" using a Warmoth Gecko 5 Custom made bass.
