Recently acquired a P/J. I love the sound but the J pickup when dimed is awfully buzzy.

It currently has the stock Fender P/J pickups. Looking for a recommendation on a replacement bridge J that is hum cancelling.

Initial thoughts were the DiMarzio UltraJazz or a Fender N3.

    Thoughts?

The UltraJazz would be a good option because you have wiring choices. You can do series or parallel and use it the way it sound better for you.

I've heard of some success with the Fender Super 55. It's a split coil pickup.

I bought a set of Super 55 Jazz Pickups from the classifieds. The bridge pickup sounds really good. Both pickups sound good, but the bridge pickup surprised me.

The Super 55 Jazz Bass pickups seem to be missing from the Fender site, now. Looks like they're still available from retailers, though.

Man I really want to hear some Fender '62 Originals paired with a Super 55!
