I asked Dave of YouTube to join TB...

Discussion in 'Bassists [BG]' started by Salamenster, Mar 28, 2014.

  1. I asked Canadian Dave of YouTube (Dave's world of fun stuff: https://www.youtube.com/user/davey4557) why he didn't join TB. His response:

"Yes, yes I should join Talkbass. Except I rather play bass than talk bass."

    OUCH! :D

I like watching Dave's videos, I just wish I could watch them in double speed.

Never heard of him but I watched the video provided by the OP. Didn't care for it. I find him boring and it seems like he is trying too hard to be like Ben Stein.

Most of us videos are just him working on out of shape guitars and basses. The fun comes from watching him fix them.
  9. He takes too long to make his point.

I've been watching him for quite awhile. Learned a few things and enjoy his humor. Plus, he loves Fenders and hates Rickenbackers as much as me! :D

Looks like he'd rather customize bass than play bass.
  13. Dave is great. I've learned a lot from him and enjoy his sense of humor and mannerisms. He seems like a genuine, nice guy who likes helping folks out.:)

Yea. Browsing forums like this and looking for a used version of the Warwick i dream of are some reasons keeping me actually playing/improving/learning.

If i didn't have internet access, i'd DO so much more. I'm not getting the shakes without it, but if it's there i'll just waste all day :(

I would rather play bass as well but unfortunately I can't play bass at work even though I own the company, sets a bad example. :meh:
