Hi guys, I'm wondering how can I get sound like bassist from Japanese pop-rock Scandal? She is playing Fender jazz thru ashdown amps. I really want to get this sound. I don't know how to put link for song there, so just type Scandal - Harukaze in YouTube. I hope someone will help me. I'm playing squier jazz and in studio where I'm rehearsing song with my band has ashdown amp aslo.

Start with an Aguilar Agro pedal and a compressor.

+1 An Agro cops this overdriven bass tone exactly.

Amp settings? Well, here you go! There's a close up of her amp settings as well as a shot of her pedal board.

Sounds like you've got it all figured out already, so why are you asking us?

Oh god. Thanks dude! So much mids and scooped bass. I never thought she uses such settings, it didn't sound like that, sound is enough bassy, mb she got some different setting on her sansamp, as I see the mids on mxr are scooped a bit.

Good grindy, aggressive J tone. Lots technological help though too.
