    For Sale or Trade~

Ibanez Affirma A105 Rolf Spuler 5 String in Excellent shape.....
Comes with original hard shell case.....
    $1850.00 plus shipping
    Final Price Drop......1500.00 + Shipping
I have decided to pull listing and hang on to this bass !!

This series was designed by Swiss luthier, Rolf Spuler. His design incorporates a 34" scale maple neck that extends half-way through the body with a thumb slot, a pearl/abalone AFR insignia, and a pearl block with Ibanez and the serial number inscriptions inlaid into the body, located between the single coil pickup and the piezo loaded bridge system. There are individual piezo volume adjustment slots on the back

I have no idea what I'm looking at....but it sure is pretty.

Free bump for something i've never seen or heard of (which is starting to get pretty rare)

Not much on the net regarding these basses...They were a limited production (#1000)
and most of them were sent to European market.
ALL reviews praised it's beauty, quality and craftsmenship... ALL praised the feel and thought it was ergonomically perfect...
ALL thought it had two handicaps... single pickup and the thumb rest was to close to the top string.
Still a stunning bass...Ibanez sound to correct the single pickup drama picking making
another limited production with a jazz pickup set up but the Swiss luthier declined as he owned the patent design....He later did make a very very similar bass with the jazz set up but only marketed them in Europe and a very limited number ..

    Neat. Pretty, too.

Sorry to be prosaic, but what is the string spacing at the bridge? And what is the nut width?

Will do a little more research on these. :)

I would say 18.5 at bridge, neck is 1 7/8" at nut.......

Wow very cool!! Never seen one if these before. Kinda reminds me of a boutique version of the Ergodyne (EDA version).

These basses are awesome and preceded the ergodyne basses by a margin of several years...

Based on the pictures the body looks like Walnut. If so that's the same model I have which is the A205. The A 105 has a Saman body and the 305 has the Flamed Maple.

Your bass looks like it's in great shape. Beautiful ... and that's a good price! These basses are remarkable, truly one of a kind. So easy to play and to look at. Seems every time I play out with mine I get compliments. Only 1000 made and I have one of them. Somebody could have this one.

    Good luck with the sale!
