I got this thinking I would mess with it but there's no time and maybe somebody else can play with it.

It's just the head from an Ibanez Sound Wave SWX65 combo amp that needs a new input jack and possibly some other wires soldered.

    Pictures up tomorrow.

$45 OBO shipped CONUS. OR trade for a nice wide leather strap or some other cool equitable doodad.

$25 is all I want on this- just pay shipping.

This is what I paid for a cheap electronics project- solder new input jack and reconnect a couple of wires- which would result in a cheap 65 watt head. I am not going to even start due to time constraints.

I had one of the early sound waves...one of the best sounding practice amps I've ever had!

I did remember them sounding pretty darn good when I added this to my pile of projects! I figured I could solder in a new input jack, reconnect the power cables, close the top with some sheet metal or thin painted wood and add some rubber feet and I would have a cheap "micro" amp head I could leave somewhere and not worry about it.

Never got to it, and seeing my other unfinished and/or "unstarted" projects piled up I figured for $25 someone else might take my idea and run with it.

    Approx. 16" W x 11" D x 2 1/4" H

The height does not include the bottom 1/2" to 3/4" bump from the transformer.

Also, since the depth was designed for the cab that housed it, there's several inches of unused space. If you wanted to mod the case by bending, cutting and moving the rear panel jacks, mains plug, etc. you could shave that down to 7" or 8".

By the way, the weight is 9.5 lbs.

I actually am kind of interested. I have an old ampeg combo that is between heads (essentially bought it as an airhead and this might work until I get a bigger amp in it...I'll have to measure the space when I get home
