Ibanez sr1400e vs sr1600e

    Any difference in the two other than price and the top woods used? First hand reviews of either?

    I own both. No difference between them, pick the one that looks best.

    They both are exactly the same except for the top finish. I like the 1600 series the best because of the Poplar Burl finish. Both are really good bass that are worth every penny.

    That looks fantastic!

    My only gripe with that series of SRs is the gold hardware. Not a big fan and there doesn't seem to be another option with them :/

    ^ Yes - that is a beauty, but it's a Prestige model that is $500 more than the Premium.

    I saw the price difference, but overlooked the fact the it was a prestige and not a premium.
