Just a general heads up… I have an Ibanez PM7 (Tone Lok series) that was not engaging, when I stomped the pedal. Sometimes it would turn on, sometimes not. I'd have to press down and hold it, etc.

Anyway, it's a potentially easy fix. Just open the battery compartment and spray some De-oxit on the switch mechanism, and work the plastic nib up and down a bunch of times while it's wet. If you're lucky, it works again!

If you're not lucky, it looks like a big headache to take the pedal apart to exchange the switch mechanism. I opened the pedal up and got about halfway disassembled before trying the Deoxit trick. Just start there, and hope it works!

There was another general Ibanez thread ages ago where I asked about this - I actually bought a 2nd PM7 as a replacement (great weird pedal for cheap, BTW). But I figured I should start a separate thread so it will come up early in forum searches.
