Seriously? Why is this man still in a position that requires someone to be able to make adequate judgement?!

We are going through some serious growing pains over here and this is an example of it. It's ridiculous and stupid, and hopefully all the Ragnar Redbeard mentality in this country will come to a head soon. Things have to get worse before they get better, I guess.

Dude needs to experience a similar ordeal himself, so he can really grasp the enormous stupidity of his statements.

"The county north of us is historically more conservative, and their elected officials are a reflection of that," said Unrepresented, who was trying really, really hard to not step over the boundaries of the political discussion ban in the Off Topic forum.

    Edit: Here's the video:

Actually that statement by Akin was made just this past election cycle, and is likely what cost him his seat. Thank goodness.

what a piece of work... He'll probably keep his job ... And continue to do and say what he wants...

I don't care if a woman or man dresses or acts in a manner suggesting they " want it " or are easy ,no means NO...

Man or woman it's theirs to give and no ones to take...

C'mon Chef. Your location says Texas. You should already know the answer to this one.

Even the most so called conservative person I know would label this judge an idiot. I don't think it has anything to do with politics.

It has to do with extremism. The more extremist position you take on issues, often you're left with questionable support of your arguments... I would consider being "pro-rape" to be an extremist position.

Tying that into my first post beyond that will probably result in a locked thread and a warning in my inbox.

Quoted for truth. The further you go from the center the more pear-shaped the reality.
